Will you be there for veterans like Gareth?

So they never battle alone.

In the forces he’d travelled the world; now he was isolated, trapped inside four walls.

Then SSAFA gave him his independence back.

Gareth is not alone.  Many veterans face similar challenges.  But thanks to generations of supporters and volunteers, SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity continues to be there for men and women like veteran Gareth, his wife Katherine and their children.

This year SSAFA celebrates it's 140th Anniversary - founded in 1885 - having touched and supported over 7.5 million members of the Armed Forces community, both in the UK and overseas.

We couldn't do it with you. Thanks to your generosity you help us reach and embrace those who need our support.

Thank you for supporting SSAFA, and our Armed Forces community.

“Within a week, we were drawn into the SSAFA family.”

Our work

Every year SSAFA supports over 50,000 people - serving soldiers, sailors and aviators, veterans and family members.

The needs we cater for are diverse.

We provide sheltered housing to women and children in need of refuge.

We provide holidays for Armed Forces families who have children with additional needs.

We look after serving personnel who are unsure of who else to turn to.

We look after veterans at any point in their lives.

We look after family members who need someone who understands the unique problems of military life.

When it feels like society is indifferent, we show how we care. When they don’t know who to ask for help, we will find them.

Join us. Help us support more people who need us. Because no one should ever battle alone.

How your donation will make a difference

Thank you!

Thank you again for supporting SSAFA, and for supporting our Armed Forces.

When Gareth faced his toughest battle, we were there.

When he needed a community, we were it.

When he had no fight left in him, SSAFA fought alongside him.

We don’t stop caring just because you stop wearing a uniform.

Because no one should battle alone.
