Be there

Support our Armed Forces community with just £10.

SSAFA has been providing practical, emotional, and financial support to our Forces and their families since 1885, so when the unthinkable happened, Mandy Small knew SSAFA would be there.

After a proud career in the military, her husband Chris struggled to adapt to civilian living and tragically took his own life, leaving Mandy and their son Jamie alone and grieving.

An advert on Facebook prompted Mandy to contact SSAFA. From then on, her SSAFA volunteer caseworker, Sue Cross, was there every step of the way, helping Mandy source funding to cover funeral costs and arranging bereavement counselling for Jamie.

In Mandy’s words, “I’m not sure what we would have done without her - you just never think it will be you that needs help."

Your Donation Matters

Sue couldn’t have been there for Mandy and Jamie without the support of people like you.

o Your generous donation will ensure that no matter what they’re facing, SSAFA can be there for anyone in the Armed Forces community, just like Mandy and Jamie in their hour of need.

  • Your donation will help us run our Forcesline helpline, providing a point of first contact for those in need.

  • It can help us provide training to our volunteers, so that they can provide the right support, in the right way and at the right time to those who need our help.

  • It can provide one-to-one mentoring to veterans and their families, who are struggling with the transition to civilian life.

Just £10 can help SSAFA change a life - helping those who have already given so much to our nation.
