Bequeathed

Free, online will-writing service.

What is Bequeathed?

Bequeathed is a will provider set up by solicitors to help individuals write their will online for free.

Their online portal provides a secure way to make your will.  You can write it from the comfort of your own home at a time that suits you, including saving it and coming back to it later.

There’s no obligation to leave a gift to the SSAFA in your Will, but we hope that you will consider this.

How does it work?

Once you are on Bequeathed’s website, all you need to do is:

  • Create an account with them.
  • Answer a few questions, such as which country you live in.
  • Start writing your will, following the prompts Bequeathed gives you. If you have any questions, there is plenty of help available throughout the process. If you need any legal advice, you can ask Bequeathed to refer you to one of its partner law firms. You will be able to arrange a face-to-face meeting for a fee, which you will agree in advance.
  • Download your will, print it, and get it witnessed. Bequeathed has guidance on its website on how best to do this during social distancing.
  • Alternatively you can set up a video call appointment with the Bequeathed team through the online appointment website Calendly:
