If you own shares that are of too low a value to sell yourself – perhaps due to transaction fees – why not donate them to ShareGift, and suggest SSAFA as a beneficiary?
ShareGift has already donated in excess of £40,000 to SSAFA. No shareholding is too small – and even one or two low-value shares can make a difference.
What is ShareGift?
ShareGift allows our supporters to donate unwanted stocks and shares to charities. The company brings together all the donated shares and sells them on behalf of the nominated charities.
Since they have started operating, ShareGift has raised over £48 million for the UK’s charity sector, helping dispose unwanted stocks and shares whilst providing invaluable support to good causes.
How does it work?
Please find full information on the ShareGift website as the donation process differs depending on how you hold your shares. You can donate your shares by post, email or online. They are more than happy to answer any queries if you email them at help@sharegift.org or phone them on 020 7930 3737.
If you wish for SSAFA to benefit from the sale of any shares you own, please ensure to mention this to ShareGift.
