Please accept our condolences for your loss. We understand that when a loved one dies, how you choose to pay tribute to them is a very personal decision.
Choosing to donate to SSAFA in someone's memory is a truly special way of remembering them and celebrating their life. Your gift will be an enduring tribute and will help serving personnel, veterans and their families confront some of life’s darkest challenges.
Online Donation
You can donate online now, and let us know that it was in memory of a loved one.
Create a Memorial Tribute
You can create an online memorial to remember a loved one on the SSAFA MuchLoved Memory Garden. This will be a lasting online tribute where you can upload their photo and fundraise in their memory.
You, as well as family and friends, can light a candle on special occasions such as their birthday and anniversaries, or to simply say ‘I miss you’.
The tribute page can also be used to manage funeral notices and shared with family and friends.
"SSAFA helped my brother in a dire time of need and he was truly grateful. It’s like giving something back to a very worthwhile charity."
Set up a funeral notice
MuchLoved have also created a easy way to send out a digital funeral notice to all of your loved one's friends and family.
“We came up with your charity, as my father used to be involved with it (I think in a local way) and he was in the Royal Navy as a young man, so it all tied together nicely: when the Memorial Service is eventually held, we will put the donation details on the Service Booklet and hopefully, some more donations will be forthcoming.”
Search for an existing Memorial Tribute
If you want to find a specific Memorial Tribute on MuchLoved, or simply look around and see how other people have made their tributes, then you can do so using the MuchLoved search function.
Collection envelopes
If you require collection envelopes for a funeral please email inmemory@ssafa.org.uk with your name, address and the number you need. To ensure we get the envelopes out to in enough time please provide us at least one week’s notice prior to the funeral.
