The Falkirk Wheel is a modern engineering feat, and the only rotating boat lift in the world, connecting the Edinburgh and Glasgow Union and the Forth and Clyde Canals.

On March 15 2025 SSAFA fundraisers will get a chance to abseil off the side of this unique and iconic landmark - 100 feet of dramatic descent!

Minimum age is 11 years old and if you are under the age of 18 your parents/legal guardian must provide consent when you complete the participation agreement.

How to get there

The Falkirk Wheel is about a kilometre from Camelon Train Station, or can be accessed following the B816 road from Falkirk.

There is a £3.50 daily charge for the car park, which is used to help maintain the Falkirk Wheel and Scotland's canals.
