In the UK, Leonardo is one of the biggest suppliers of defence and security equipment to the UK MOD and makes a significant contribution to the UK economy with revenues of £1.9bn, around 45% of which are in export.

The company operates from 8 main sites across the UK employing over 8,500 highly skilled people.

Leonardo recognises the contribution that the members of the Armed Forces make to the nation through their service and sacrifices as a result of their duty. As part of this, Leonardo has supported SSAFA since 2010, donating over £80,000 towards our Corporate Friends scheme and services. In 2024 £12,000 has been donated to the Family Short Breaks Scheme, Community Connection Project and Stepping Stones home.
