A richly detailed collection of 24-carat gold-plated and silver-plated commemoratives, featuring the work of acclaimed artist Jacqueline Hurley, has been released to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day, VJ Day, and the end of World War Two. SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, will benefit from each set purchased.
The commemorative sets from POSH Original Art, presented in an elegant display album, depict memorable actions of the war at sea, in the air, and on land – including the Battle of Britain in 1940, the Dams Raid in 1943, and the D-Day Landings in 1944 – with meticulous detail by Jacqueline, who is recognised as the UK’s leading Remembrance artist.
Jacqueline gave further details on the collections, and the reasons for choosing SSAFA – which celebrates its 140th anniversary in 2025 – saying: “We are delighted at POSH Original Art to partner with SSAFA and support the incredible work it does for serving Armed Forces personnel, veterans, and their families during times of need through our new commemorative collections featuring my Remembrance artwork.”
She added that her Remembrance paintings epitomise her respect and appreciation for the UK’s Armed Forces of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
“They also express my passion for keeping their memories alive, and I hope to create a sense of peace through my artwork, whilst respecting the sensitivity of a subject, emotive for so many of us.
“My paintings” concluded Jacqueline, “embrace the essence of Remembrance and are an extension of my feelings and emotions, their purpose to evoke a time for Remembrance.”
The 24-carat gold plated set and presentation album is priced at £99.95, with the silver-plated set at £39.95. Postage and packaging for each is £4.99.
