SSAFA welcomes Tewkesbury business Amiosec as a new corporate partner
19 March 2025
Tewkesbury-based cyber security and innovation business Amiosec – an Armed Forces Covenant signatory – has been a Ministry of Defence supplier for more than a decade and employs a growing number of Armed Forces veterans.
Now, to give back to people who have served the country, and to their families, Amiosec has become a Corporate Partner of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. This marks the beginning of what will be a valuable relationship for 2025 and beyond.
The partnership was launched with Amiosec donating £10,000 to SSAFA, and Jim Healy, a Secure Mobility Business Development Manager at the company, is leading additional fundraising efforts for SSAFA.
Jim served for 27 years in the British Army as a Communications Engineer, and is already gearing up for some hefty fundraising challenges having committed to completing an Ironman in Tenby in September. All funds raised from the triathlon will go directly to SSAFA.
As well as Jim’s efforts, the people within Amiosec’s “community give-back” group are exploring additional ways to support SSAFA including a Big Brew Up planned for June 26.
Jim said: “I’ve always admired SSAFA for the work it does. Many challenging circumstances can be thrown at you in the Forces, either while serving or in life post-service and SSAFA’s hands-on ability to help those going through crises or any other type of challenge is, as far as I’m aware, beyond that of any Armed Forces charity.
“It’s comforting to think of how many people are now in a better place because of SSAFA and it’s an honour to support this through Amiosec’s corporate partnership.”
Jenny King, Head of Corporate Engagement for SSAFA, added: “Corporate partnerships are extremely valuable to SSAFA as they provide life changing support to the entire Armed Forces community. SSAFA would not be able to deliver its work without the support and commitment from companies such as Amiosec.”
