SSAFA introduces eRedbook to MOD families in Gibraltar

26 May 2021

The eRedbook is set to revolutionise the way military children’s health and development records are tracked.

SSAFA Gibraltar will launch the eRedbook on May 28 to the children of military families in the local community.

The eRedbook (the digital version of the Personal Child Health Record) is a parent held health care record which allows you to access your child’s personal health and development records wherever you are. This is an extremely beneficial service for Forces families who may move often and need to access their children’s records.

SSAFA Gibraltar Community Health Team are running a drop-in session at the Café by the pool from 0930-1130 on Friday May 28. They’re encouraging anyone to come down for cake, to register and ask any questions you might have.

Fiona Hutchings, SSAFA Health Visitor and School Nurse said: “We feel privileged to be able to introduce the eRedbook to the MOD families here in Gibraltar, following its successful use in Cyprus.

"Forces families will no longer have to keep the paper red book with them and won't have to worry about finding their red book when they move house. They will now have access to up to date NHS and SSAFA approved health information and advice all in one place.”
