Navy Cadet skydives for SSAFA!
21 October 2022
Fifteen-year-old Navy Cadet, Ckenzy Rowe from Yeovil, swapped the sea for the skies on 15 October: he jumped out of an aeroplane at 15,000 feet to raise money for SSAFA!
Ckenzy, who attends Bucklers Mead Academy in Yeovil, aspires to join the Marines.
Ckenzy says: “I want to raise money for an armed forces charity because I want to go into the Marines as front-line infantry when I leave school. I have wanted to do this since I was 12, when I saw the advert with assault courses on telly.”
Ckenzy is dedicated to his ambition and is working hard to ensure that he will be at the top of the recruiting list. He has already qualified as a lifeguard and done deep sea diving courses. He keeps himself fit and focussed with Judo and plays rugby for the local YRFC Lions/Barbarians Rugby Club. This young man is going places, not least, out of the door of an airborne plane!
Ckenzy aims to raise £1,000 for the charity. He has self-funded his skydive, so every penny raised will go to SSAFA.
