HENSOLDT UK joining forces with SSAFA to support Armed Forces Day challenge

A leader in the radar industry, HENSOLDT UK is continuing their partnership with SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity by sponsoring the 2025 13 Bridges Challenge.
 
HENSOLDT is a global leader in designing, producing, and manufacturing maritime navigation and surveillance radar systems and solutions, with their UK operations based in Enfield. It will be continuing its sponsorship of the award-winning 13 Bridges Challenge, which takes place on Armed Forces Day every year.
 
Starting at Trinity Square Gardens near Tower Hill and ending at Eel Brook Common in Fulham, the route zigzags through London and crosses the capital’s most iconic bridges. It is one of SSAFA’s most successful events, raising nearly £125,000 from sponsorships and the more than 1,000 participants.
 
Adrian Pilbeam, Managing Director at HENSOLDT UK, is thrilled to be taking part once more: "The 13 Bridges Challenge is always a highlight of the year for me. Walking across the iconic London bridges with a view of many iconic landmarks, in the company of  colleagues and supporters of SSAFA is both a privilege and a reminder of the incredible resilience and dedication of our Armed Forces community. 
 
“We are proud to support SSAFA and their vital work, ensuring that those who have served receive the assistance they need. I encourage as many people as possible to get involved."
 
While the final number is yet to be confirmed, HENSOLDT anticipates sending a team of 30 including employees, their families, and friends. They employ several veterans, recognising the skills and experiences that can only be acquired through a military background. Their sponsorship will help fund welfare programmes, mental health services, and practical assistance so SSAFA can continue supporting veterans and their families, so they never have to battle alone.
