Former SSAFA Controller passes away

Lieutenant General Sir Gary Coward KBE CB, Chairman of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity: “We are very sad to share news of the death of Major General Peter John Sheppard CB CBE, former Controller / Chief Executive of SSAFA between 1996 and 2004, who passed away after a short illness on Wednesday, 22nd February.

"Peter was hugely active in our sector going on to serve as Chair of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity between 2012 and 2016. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.”
