2022 Battle Proms concerts raise more than £35,000 for SSAFA
05 August 2022
The 2022 Battle Proms concerts raised some £35,735.68 for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity after four stunning summer concerts across England.
SSAFA has been Battle Proms’ chosen charity since 2018, and the concert series have raised more than £200,000 for it since then.
This year’s Battle Proms season featured concerts at Burghley House, Highclere Castle, Blenheim Palace and Hatfield House – some of England’s best-loved country houses.
The quintessentially British ‘party in the park’ concerts featured a two-hour orchestral programme with all the ‘last night of the proms’ finale favourites, all in the surroundings of some of the UK's most stunning stately homes, plus some unforgettable entertainment.
Jonathan Sandall, Director of Fundraising at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, said: “We are extremely grateful for the generosity of the audiences at the four Battle Proms concerts across the summer. We have raised more than £35,000 through the season and couldn’t have done it without the fantastic support of the organisers, venue hosts, and our amazing volunteers.
“This money will help SSAFA support our Armed Forces community, its serving men and women, veterans and their families. So, a big ‘thank you’ to all who’ve supported us, especially by attending the concerts, and if you didn’t make it to one this year, be sure to keep an eye out for the 2023 season.”
