Peterhead Parade

On Saturday 11 May 2024 SSAFA Grampian attended The Royal Regiment of Scotland (SCOTS) Freedom of Aberdeenshire Parade in Peterhead. A celebration championing the role of the Armed Forces in our communities. The historic march of 150 soldiers joined by pipers and drummers was followed by a short ceremony and community event. Also in attendance were The Royal British Legion, Royal Air Force, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, Sea Cadets, Erskine Veterans Charity, Highland Reserve Forces and Cadets Association and Aberdeenshire Council.

SSAFA Grampian would like to extend a special thanks to the community for their continued support alongside those who joined us on the day - The Lord Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire and President of SSAFA Grampian Alexander Mason, Provost of Aberdeenshire Councillor Judy Whyte and Deputy Provost of Aberdeenshire Councillor Ron McKail.
