Armed Forces Day Parade

SSAFA Grampian Branch attended Aberdeen Armed Forces Parade on Saturday 29th June 2024. Shirley (Branch Secretary), Lisa (Caseworker) and Adowa (Visitor), two of whom are veterans themselves, were present at various stages of the parade to represent SSAFA and also to thank and cheer on our Armed forces community. We would especially like to say a huge thank you to the Cadets that marched along with the Parade, collecting donations on behalf of SSAFA.

The Branch had a great time chatting with veterans and members of the public. Once the parade had completed, everyone returned to Gordon Barracks where lunch and refreshments were provided, giving our Branch representatives more time to meet both serving members and veterans. To finish off a beating of the retreat was received Aberdeen Lord Provost David Cameron.
