Together Project

Fighting loneliness and isolation in the veteran community.

"It gives me another reason to get out of the flat. There are other veterans in the group, SSAFA volunteers and people who just support the Forces... It has been amazing."

- Stuart, Army Veteran

Being surrounded by friends and like-minded individuals can have a positive effect on a person’s health.

SSAFA's Together Project aims to create an organised network of Veteran's Groups up and down the country - bringing ex-soldiers, sailors and airmen and women together, so they can bond over their common experiences serving our nation.

The project is being piloted in Romford, Southend, Port Talbot, Stroud and Morley.  If you live in these areas and are keen to get involved - to make new friends amongst the local veteran community - then please get in touch using the form below.

If you live outside of these areas then please check this page in the future to find out where the project has expanded to.  In the meantime we recommend that you contact your local branch here as they may well be able to help you find other veterans in your area looking to talk to a peer.

SSAFA's services are only available to people who have received at least one day's pay from the Armed Forces (British Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, Royal Marines, including Reserves), or are in the immediate family of someone who served.
