Tips on how you can support yourself and others who are feeling lonely.




Fancy a walk?

Inviting someone to join you for a walk can help them feel less lonely - and could help you to feel less lonely too.



Fancy a chat?

Checking in with a family member or friend can help them feel less lonely - and it could lift you up too.


Fancy a cuppa?

Reaching out to someone for a catch up can help them feel less lonely.


Loneliness can be hard to describe and spot.

It affects everyone differently, but there are some common things that can help.

Can you see some of the things that make the characters feel lonely and how it changes how they act in the video?   At times, life can feel overwhelming. It can be hard to know where to look for advice or how to reach out to others for support.




Feeling lonely is something that all of us can experience at any point and it can have a huge impact on our wellbeing.

It’s important to remember that these feelings can pass and that there are lots of ways we can help each other too.


Loneliness has many different causes, which vary from person to person. We don't always understand what it is about an experience that makes us feel lonely.
