Watch a clip from the Lorraine show that talks about loss for dads and about their podcast ‘Still Parents’ that aims to inform men that have been affected by stillbirth, neonatal death, miscarriage or medical termination that it is okay not to be okay.

If you live in England you can get a certificate in memory of your baby if your pregnancy ends before 24 weeks (or 28 weeks if your pregnancy ended before 1 October 1992).

It’s free to get a certificate.  You do not need to request a certificate if you prefer not to. It’s optional.

The certificate is not a legal document ant the certificate will not be added to your GP record.

If you are living overseas with the British Military you can email babylosscertificate@nhsbsa.nhs.uk outlining the situation.  You will need to share your BF1 xxx postcode, assignment details and explain you cannot apply using the online method because of your current location.

CONI

Within each Military Overseas Command, where SSAFA provide Community Health Services, there will be a local CONI champion/coordinator, normally a midwife or a health visitor, but any member of the Community Health Team would be able to help you to access this service.
