Tim Seal

Trustee

Brigadier Tim Seal started his combined civilian and military careers, walking through the door of his local TA Centre as a Private soldier in an Infantry Bn in 1987. A succession of great command and leadership opportunities, serving with inspirational people, have led to his current day appointment as Deputy Commander (Reserves) in 1st (United Kingdom) Division, based in York, which commands over 50% of the Army Reserve.

His main career has centred on business development, national account management and operational leadership, initially in security and education and more latterly across the health and social care sectors, with an emphasis on the care of older people, younger physically disabled people and mental health provision.

He is a trustee for Blind Veterans UK, where he is the Operations lead. He is Vice Chair for East Anglia RFCA, Chairman of the Army Rifle Association, Honorary Colonel for the Cambridgeshire Army Cadet Force, is Deputy to Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, and had the honour of serving as High Sheriff at the height of the COVID-19 lockdown.

Married with three grown up children, in his spare time, he enjoys shooting, cycling and being outwitted by his four grandsons, under 4.
