SSAFA Forces Help is immediately available to support you and your family whether you are serving at home, overseas or in an operational environment. With the high tempo of life in today’s Armed Forces, our services are as vital now as they have ever been.
Confidential Support Line
Our telephone support line is available 365 days a year and provides a service which is outside the chain of command. The line is open from 1030am - 10.30pm. Free phone lines operate from Germany, Cyprus and the UK:

Family Escort Service
This service is invaluable for both the Serving and ex-Service families who need emergency, or compassionate help with complex travel arrangements. The service deals with journeys beginning or ending in the UK.

Stepping Stone Homes
Our Stepping Stone Homes provide temporary accommodation for separated families and offer them ‘breathing space’ and time to reflect. They are open to women, with or without children, who are serving, ex-Service or dependants of Service or ex-Service personnel in need of somewhere to live. SSAFA Norton House
Norton House provides ‘home-from-home’ accommodation for the families of badly injured servicemen and women being treated at Selly Oak Hospital and Headley Court rehabilitation centre.
