As the needs of the Armed Forces continue to grow so do the demands on our resources

Last year we helped more than 50,000 people, but who knows how many we will be able to assist next year? The answer depends on your support.

Kilimanjaro takes on Tony!

In September Tony will climb Mt Kilimanjaro in support of SSAFA Forces Help.

Tony’s biggest challenge in all of this is not necessarily reaching the top of one of the world’s tallest freestanding mountains (obviously this will be difficult!) but to raise awareness for SSAFA; as well as his own goal of raising over £50,000 for SSAFA. Please support Tony in this challenge at http://www.justgiving.com/tonyclimbskilimanjaro

‘I’ve known Tony for many years and this is definitely the toughest challenge he has ever taken on! I’m supporting him with his efforts to raise funds for SSAFA, and wish him the best of luck with his endeavours.’ Ryan Giggs

It’s great to see Tony supporting the troops by taking on this demanding climb. I’ve no doubt that he will make it to the top and along the way make a massive difference by raising awareness and money for SSAFA – David Beckham

Everest Base Camp Trek

On the 25th September – 16th October this year, Nick Cabo and Tom Stringer will be trekking to Everest Base Camp and then to the Summit of Island Peak which stands 6189m above sea level. It will be a 22 day trek in total.

Please support them at http://www.justgiving.com/nick-tomtrek as they prepare for their challenge. Tucked well into the Everest Khumbu region, they will trek for 8/9 days until they reach EBC. Only 3 days after Nick and Tom leave the EBC they will be positioned in either the Base or High Camp of Island Peak ready to summit the following day. It will then be an early start to begin the 4 hour ascent to the ‘crampon point’, where they will need to don their climbing gear before continuing on towards Island Peak itself.
